Track

track has been awsome!!! but i can't believe that its almost over: one more month! this past week i worked really hard, training and pushing myself and it all paid off. on my 100m i got 13.97, but the big one was my 200m time which was 28.27! i totally PR'd. i'm so proud of my hard work!:D its been really fun. the other fun thing is that i have made a really good friend. mykayla is this super fast and muscular black soccer sprinter girl who is so nice and fun to be around. we do the same events (basically, but because she is .3 seconds faster than me, she's on varsity and i'm not) so we are track buddies. together, we will start training for a heptathalon. its going to be after state and we're super excited. the events are the 200m, 800m, 100m hurdles, shotput, highjump and javalin and one other... its going to be a blast and we are going to kick butt! i can't wait. anyways, theres so much more to do and so little time. hope everyone has a great weekend and has enjoyed the glorious weather that we've been having!

Good bye sunshine

well, the sunshine was wonderful while it lasted... but like all good things, it came to an end. it wasn't a super hard let down though, it was only a little chilly and partly cloudy. tommorrow (thursday) is what is going to be hard - its icon on the weather app is an ominous dark little square with rain :( oh well. i guess the gloom just makes you appriciate and look forward to the sun that much more. today was a pretty good day. i woke up a 6, and did the P90X kenpo workout, did some ab work, took a shower and went to the podiatrist.
today my friend was supposed to come over and make some cupcakes with me, but there was some misscommunicating and she ended up not being able to come because her friends some of her friends "kidnapped [her] and took [her] to seattle. thats ok though. i got to make them myself. i was so proud of how i worked: i cleaned the kitchen before, i made the cupcakes, did the dishes again, decorated them, and then cleaned up again! and they are just so cute. when my mom came back from grocery shopping, she was so impressed, she told me how proud she was and on her way out she gave my a "peck on the cheek" and said thanks. i thought that that was pretty cool because they usually are able to find something that i didn't do, but this time she didn't.
anywyas, break has been going really great so far! hope that everyone else is having a good time too!

Motivated!

i know that i should be proud of all that i accomplished today, but somehow i feel like i didn't do anything worthwhile and that i tanked on my eating, even though i didn't. let me real quick run through what i did today and you can be the judge of whether i was productive or not.

woke up at 6, took pain pills and went back to sleep until 6:45, got ready to run, stretched, left for my run at 7. ran probably in the ball park of 2 1/2 miles, walked 1/2 a mile, then did 10 hills. i came back home where i made my breakfast smoothie with protein powder and my pill vitamins. i did the dished, then went outside and weeded for 2 hours. came back inside, cleaned the bathrooms, tidied and vaccumed my room and finally took a shower and got ready for the day. NOTE: this was all before noon. for lunch i had a BBQ'd chicken breast and some frog eyed salad. i watched Wall.E, then changed into my swimsuit and layed in the sun for 30 min, 15 each side. i came back in sewed a baby quilt and watched some more TV while i did that. then i made my dinner of steamed spinach with red sauce and black beans, but because of my dad, waited for over an hour to eat it. i went upstairs for that hour and did some crunches and resistance band stuff. came down, ate dinner and went on a walk with my family. josh, half way through, had to go to the potty, numero dos, so i volunteered to go back home with him so he could use the restroom. after helping him with his accident, i did the dinner dished and cleaned up the kitchen and now i'm here typing this up.

yeah, and yet i still feel like i had a bad day and just want to take a good cry. i just noticed that i accomplished everything that i needed to, i ate under 1600 calories and i have been going NON-STOP! so can someone explain to me why i feel so unnaccomplished? i think after this i need a good session with the good 'ole piano... yeah

anyways, on to happier stuff, like the fact the weather was absolutly GORGEOUS today!?!?! i loved it! the laying in the sun was probably my favorite part of the day, either that, or when i first started my run, and i was going up the hill and towards the top i saw the sunrise and the blue sky and a really happy go-lucky song was playing and Mt.rainier was right there... man, it was just perfect! i really hope that washington pulls another crazy weather week and stays sunny! these days of sun make all the rainy days worth it! i just wish there were a few more of them more often.
hmmm, lets see what i'm doing tommorrow... hopfully do the P90X kenpo, go on a run again and do some strength training. make cupcakes for my secret sister, 1600 cal again, lay out in the sun. stamp out date to go with stephanie to see a movie and lunch and hopefully go to KW to practice jumping, which is the only thing that i didn't get to do today :( funny enough, thats the one thing that i really need to do.
i hope i wake up with a tighter body, i really need the self-esteem boost right now :)
hope everyone else enjoyed the weather, wherever everyone was!

Budhist temples and shopping bags

Today my friend sam and i went on our first religious excursion to visit a budhist temple. there originally was supposed to be a Q&A there, but it ended up getting moved to a different date. but the Reverend happened to be there, so he took about an hour, hour and a half, to talk to us about budhism. he was very nice and for the most part knowledgeable, but he had a super thick chinese/asian accent so i couldn't understand half of what he said. either way, we are planning to come back for a religious service on may 2nd. the next place that we want to check out is Jehovahs Witness. they left a brochure on my doorstep and it had 2 sessions that i am actually really interested in going to. the first is on the 9th of april and its going to answer some questions that they posed in the pamphlet, then a special thing on the topic of " is there really a true religion from gods standpoint" i really am excited to see what they have to say on these topics.

the other part of my day was going shopping. i went shopping yesterday to the supermall, where i got spikes from Brookes running, their green, silver and black - KW colors, then i went to Aero and got 2 camis and then to Old Navy, which is my current favorite store! i love their style and am trying to slowly but surely change my style to theirs. i got a white and sea green striped long sleeved v-neck, a orange and light orange striped cardigan and nondescript gray jacket. i really like all the clothes that i got. then today, i went to the platos closet by south center and got 3 pairs of American Eagle jeans, a gilly hicks shirt, a brown misc. shirt and a SUPER cute yellow bag. i don't know really how to describe it but i LOVE it! and the best part was it was only $8! it has little kidney bean shaped punch outs in the leather, its a soft spring yellow and its lined with dark brown. it even has a cell phone pocket, which is what i have been looking for in a bag. i've been looking for almost 4 months now for the perfect bag and i finally found it! and about the jeans - i'm so disappointed in Aeropostale, they changed their jean cut so now they don't fit me right anymore. but good news is that Old Navy and American Eagle fit perfectly. and their only $10-$15 a pair at Platos.

finally, the weather. it was glorious and sunny and got up to 60 degrees today. for the people that don't live on the northwest coast, that may not seem very warm, but to us sun deprived, depressed washingtonians, its a call for short shorts and tanks (yes, while shopping i saw people dressed like it was 90) and flipflops. it sounds so sad when i type it out. we really are deprived. either way, easter and spring is around the corner, the track season is half way over, we have 1 more quarter of school/ 3 more months and the sun is finally coming out. life is good my friend, life is good.

hope you all continue to have a fantastic spring break and glorious weather like we are!

YAY!

i have just officially finished my freshman project, one of the biggest sources of stress in my life at the moment. and, BONUS POINTS, spring break officially starts today at 5:30. i am so ready for it! the track meet was pretty fun yesterday, despite the almost non-stop torrential waves of rain. absolutly everything got soaked and i was frozen to the bone. but this is the kind of weather i like, not the misty overcast crap. i love the down pour !:D and the fact that we had a track meet in it, that i got to sprint in it made it all worth it. well, since i'm done i'm going to go back to sleep now because its almost 4 am and i don't have to leave till 6:05 am. have a fabulos friday!
