Today my friend sam and i went on our first religious excursion to visit a budhist temple. there originally was supposed to be a Q&A there, but it ended up getting moved to a different date. but the Reverend happened to be there, so he took about an hour, hour and a half, to talk to us about budhism. he was very nice and for the most part knowledgeable, but he had a super thick chinese/asian accent so i couldn't understand half of what he said. either way, we are planning to come back for a religious service on may 2nd. the next place that we want to check out is Jehovahs Witness. they left a brochure on my doorstep and it had 2 sessions that i am actually really interested in going to. the first is on the 9th of april and its going to answer some questions that they posed in the pamphlet, then a special thing on the topic of " is there really a true religion from gods standpoint" i really am excited to see what they have to say on these topics.
the other part of my day was going shopping. i went shopping yesterday to the supermall, where i got spikes from Brookes running, their green, silver and black - KW colors, then i went to Aero and got 2 camis and then to Old Navy, which is my current favorite store! i love their style and am trying to slowly but surely change my style to theirs. i got a white and sea green striped long sleeved v-neck, a orange and light orange striped cardigan and nondescript gray jacket. i really like all the clothes that i got. then today, i went to the platos closet by south center and got 3 pairs of American Eagle jeans, a gilly hicks shirt, a brown misc. shirt and a SUPER cute yellow bag. i don't know really how to describe it but i LOVE it! and the best part was it was only $8! it has little kidney bean shaped punch outs in the leather, its a soft spring yellow and its lined with dark brown. it even has a cell phone pocket, which is what i have been looking for in a bag. i've been looking for almost 4 months now for the perfect bag and i finally found it! and about the jeans - i'm so disappointed in Aeropostale, they changed their jean cut so now they don't fit me right anymore. but good news is that Old Navy and American Eagle fit perfectly. and their only $10-$15 a pair at Platos.
finally, the weather. it was glorious and sunny and got up to 60 degrees today. for the people that don't live on the northwest coast, that may not seem very warm, but to us sun deprived, depressed washingtonians, its a call for short shorts and tanks (yes, while shopping i saw people dressed like it was 90) and flipflops. it sounds so sad when i type it out. we really are deprived. either way, easter and spring is around the corner, the track season is half way over, we have 1 more quarter of school/ 3 more months and the sun is finally coming out. life is good my friend, life is good.
hope you all continue to have a fantastic spring break and glorious weather like we are!
Jess
